Jonas Schlund is a research assistant at the chair of Computer Networks and Communications Systems. He is researching in the field of bottom-up distributed self-organization of future power systems. His focuses are empowering renewable energies to take over system responsibility by virtual storages, applications of blockchain technology in the energy sector and microgrids respectively community energy in order to foster the use of local resources in accordance with the cellular approach. Since 2018 he is a Fellow of the Centre Digitalization.Bavaria (ZD.B) with his research project Decentralized organization of future energy systems based on the combination of blockchains and the cellular concept. Starting from 2010 he studied Energy Technologies in Erlangen. 2014 he received the Brose Prize for his bachelor thesis. He graduated as M. Sc. with Honours in 2016 with the main focus on "electrical energy technologies". During his studies he was working at the chair of Applied Mathematics 3 in Erlangen, at Centro Técnico de Seat in Martorell and at Siemens in Erlangen and Nuremberg.
